■Toyako Long-run Fireworks Display

Every night for about 20 minutes starting at 8:45 pm, the Toyako night sky becomes full of fireworks. The fireworks display runs for half a year - from the end of April through the end of October. Since the fireworks are moved while being launched, one can enjoy them from everywhere in the Toyako Onsen area
■Toya-mura International Sculpture Biennale
Biennale is Italian for “once every two years.” This exhibition is also held once every two years. For the Toya-mura International Sculpture Biennale, which has a theme of “the universe in a palm,” works of art that can fit in the palm of one’s hand (20cm x 30cm x 40cm or less) are accepted, and this was the first exhibition for miniature sculptures in Japan.

■Toyako Onsen Street of Illumination
During the winter (from the beginning of December through the end of March), the Toyako Onsen area is lit up, creating a fairy tale world. In addition, during this period, the Christmas event Holy Light Christmas in Toya is held. One can take part in various events held around the 8-meter tall Christmas tree that was recently placed on the lakeside near Toyako Onsen and to view the romantic Christmas fireworks.
■Toyako Onsen Winter Festival
The winter festival is held during the Sapporo Snow Festival. At night, for around 10 minutes starting at 8:30, fireworks are launched, and it is possible to view the large firework, Niagara, during the main festival. It is possible to enjoy the hand and feet baths and various events, and the event is very relaxing both physically and emotionally.
